It’s official gentle readers: Netflix has officially announced the main character for season 4. The massively popular series has dominated the streaming charts for 3 seasons, and there’s no doubt that the upcoming fourth installment will draw hordes of viewers.
As with previous seasons, each year focuses on a specific Bridgerton sibling while they navigate the marriage mart in London’s high society in order to find their happily ever after. Today, Netflix took to social media to officially announce which Bridgerton brother or sister will be stepping into the lead role for season 4.
Who Will Be The Main Character in Bridgerton Season 4?

It’s been officially announced that Benedict Bridgerton will take center stage in season 4. After previously skipping Benedict’s romance in order to focus on Polin, this new season will adapt book 3 in the Bridgerton saga, An Offer From A Gentleman.

What Is Benedict’s Story In Bridgerton?

The third book in the series follows a fated, Cinderella-style romance between Benedict and Sophie Beckett, an Earl’s daughter forced into servitude by her stepmother.
After sneaking into Violet Bridgerton’s famed masquerade ball, Sophie unwittingly finds herself drawn to Benedict until she absconds from the party at the stroke of midnight.
A case of mistaken identity and hijinks aplenty follow, and Benedict will need to decide how hard he’s willing to fight for his happy ending.

What To Expect From Season 4
While there hasn’t been any other news regarding casting or a release date, it’s safe to say that Dan will be chomping at the bit to find out who will play Sophie.
Personally, this author believes that Luke Thompson as Benedict has been criminally underutilized until this point. I cannot wait to see how the character is able to flourish with a new more focused storyline.
