Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World” presents a futuristic society where technological advancements and social engineering have created a seemingly perfect world. Set in London in the year 2540 AD, the novel follows Bernard Marx, an Alpha-Plus psychologist who feels out of place in his rigidly structured society.

In this world, humans are genetically engineered and conditioned from birth to fit into predetermined social castes. Reproduction occurs in laboratories, and citizens are kept docile through a combination of conditioning, pleasure-seeking activities, and a mood-altering drug called soma.

Bernard’s journey takes an unexpected turn when he visits a “Savage Reservation” in New Mexico, where he encounters John, a young man raised outside the “civilized” world. John’s return to London with Bernard sets off a chain of events that challenge the foundations of their society and force characters to confront the true nature of their world.

As the story unfolds, it explores the clash between individual freedom and societal stability, presenting a vision of the future that raises questions about human nature, technology, and the price of happiness.
