Our Rating: 4.0/5 GoodReads Rating: 4.0/5

“House of Leaves” centers on two main narratives. The first follows the Navidson family, who move into a house that defies physical laws—it’s bigger on the inside than the outside. Will Navidson, a photojournalist, begins to explore and document this impossible space. As the interior of the house continues to expand and change, forming vast, dark hallways and abysses, Will leads expeditions deeper into its depths, risking his life and sanity.

The second narrative revolves around Johnny Truant, a tattoo artist who discovers a manuscript about the Navidson house written by a deceased blind man named Zampanò. As Johnny reads and tries to piece together Zampanò’s work, he becomes increasingly obsessed and paranoid, believing that the story of the house is somehow affecting his own reality.

These two storylines intertwine and influence each other, blurring the lines between fact and fiction. As both Will and Johnny delve deeper into their respective mysteries, they face psychological and possibly supernatural threats that challenge their grip on reality and threaten to consume them.
