Gothic fiction and romance – a combination that sends shivers down our spines and sets our hearts racing. There’s something irresistible about stories that blend eerie atmospheres, haunting mysteries, and smoldering romantic tension. From crumbling castles to foggy moors, from brooding antiheroes to courageous heroines, gothic romance offers a delicious escape into a world of danger and desire.
What’s your favorite gothic romance novel that perfectly balances the macabre with romance?
It is one of those sub-genres that combines some of the best there is about gothic and creepy books as well as a dash of romance and tension. The books that made me feel that way and that fit into this sub-genre, for me, were: Belladonna by Adalyn Grace, Dark Desires by Eve Silver, Gothikana by RuNyx, and My Cousin Rachel by Daphne du Maurier.
