How do you know if you’ve met your soul mate? I never actually put so much thought in it until I read the story of Quinn and Graham – the main characters in All Your Perfects who not only showed what true love is but also reintroduced a sensitive matter between married couples.
All Your Perfects is a romance novel that can be read as a standalone but it has a companion novella, Finding Perfect, where characters from different Colleen Hoover novels meet with an unexpected conclusion. I suggest reading the novels from Hopeless, Losing Hope, Finding Cinderella, All Your Perfects, and Finding Perfect to fully grasp the emotions and stories of the characters involved.

All Your Perfects Synopsis
Set in a dual timeline of then and now, All Your Perfects is a profound novel of a perfect love threatened by an imperfect marriage. Quinn and Graham met in the most awkward possible moment when they both caught their cheating partners together. After a year, they were reunited by fate and their love story took off.
Now, their marriage is about to end after seven years of being together. Expectations, mistakes, and promises can either save or destroy them apart forever. Will their love surpass the challenges they are facing?
Review
The story was composed of two alternating perspectives of then and now, where readers join the characters in a whirlwind romance before and after their marriage. In the first chapter, we meet Quinn and Graham in a very nontypical way. Their chemistry and rapport immediately capture any reader’s attention.
The “then” part showed how these two were really destined to be with one another. Their friendship grew with so much respect and patience that is rarely found love stories. I knew right there that it will not be like any other romance story I read before.
I probably didn’t notice because sadness is like a spiderweb. You don’t see it until you’re caught up in it, and then you have to claw at yourself to try to break free.
The quote greatly described the agony Quinn and Graham faced in the book seven years later. From being comfortable at sharing everything to each other, what happened in the “now” was really unexpected. They both became vulnerable but refused and struggled to communicate what they really felt with one another.
This is where the impact of having the solid foundation for a couple in a fictional story becomes valuable. Knowing how a couple started or fell in love gives us a view of the characters’ different sides. The narrative becomes and feels authentic which readers can resonate with.
Marriage is a very complex union of two people and it was realistically showed in the novel. It takes more than “I do” to commit to a person. All the promises and expectations including the people around have an influence – either make or break the marriage. All Your Perfects also stressed the importance of having family and friends who served as great pillars of support in difficult times.
No matter how much you love someone-the capacity of that love is meaningless if it outweighs your capacity to forgive.
Quinn’s voice echoes throughout the novel having her perspective in front. Her struggles and thoughts were showed but failed to address her mental health. What she went through was an emotional turmoil for wanting to save the marriage and herself.
I cried for the most part and I’m glad that the resolution was hopeful. The love Quinn and Graham have is impossible to forget. However, I have issues with how Graham acted and reacted upon it. He could have done better.
Final Thoughts
I was speechless by the time I finished this book. All Your Perfects definitely broke and healed me at the same time. No words can explain what I felt for Quinn and Graham. Their situation has been a problem for a lot of families and couples I know. Having read this opened my perspective to the importance of conversations about marriage, an experience I don’t even have to begin with.
