Hugh Howey Announces New Silo Books
In a recent Reddit AMA, the author of the Silo books, Hugh Howey, as well as the showrunner, Graham Yost, were answering a lot of questions from fans of the show and books.
One of the questions by a user asked if Hugh Howey is planning on releasing stories or material that will cover the fate of other silos after the ending of Dust, the last book in the original Silo series.
Hugh Howey very confidently said that he is working on a whole new trilogy of books, called Silo 40! This is probably the best news we’ve gotten since the announcement of Silo seasons 3 and 4.
What Will Silo 40 Books Be About?
Not much is currently known about the story of Silo 40 book trilogy. However, what we do know for certain is that the story of the Silo 40 trilogy will follow Silo 40 and the story will span before the events of Wool (the first book of the Silo series) to after the events of Dust (the last book in the Silo series).

This is a very interesting premise and timeline, as it spans before and after the main storyline. There is so much more to explore in the world of Silo! Additionally, Silo 40 is connected to the main storyline of the Silo series in the Dust book. This is not yet covered in the TV show, but will most likely be something that will be shown in season 3 or 4 of the show.

In Dust, the protagonists of Silo 18 interact with Silo 40 along with other silos. Silo 40 is one of the more important ones because, during their interactions, Juliette and the gang from Silo 18 uncover the deeper history of the silos and the world.

When Will The New Silo Book Be Released?
A bit later in the same Reddit AMA, the author, Hugh Howey said that the Silo 40 trilogy is supposed to be released later this year. Fans who’ve read all of the Silo books, as well as related Silo books and who have watched the TV show, will not have to wait long as the new Silo 40 trilogy is set to release in 2025!
